Install ES Content Display

  1. Sign in to the Joomla administrator area.
  2. Open System → Install → Extensions.
  3. Upload the ES Content Display ZIP package.
  4. After Joomla confirms the installation, open Content → Site Modules.
  5. Create a new ES Content Display module.

Do not unzip the installation package before uploading it to Joomla.

Fastest first module: Manual Accordion

1. Source

Set Content Source to:

Manual Items

2. Content

Open 2. Content and add one or more Manual Items.

Each item requires a Title. You may also add:

  • Intro
  • Body
  • Image URL or Path
  • Image Alt Text
  • Link / Read More URL
  • Read More Text

Items can be reordered from the repeatable list.

3. Layout

Open 3. Layout and choose:

Accordion

For a simple first setup, keep:

Accordion Open Behavior: Single open item
Initially Open: None

4. Display

Choose which optional content fields should be shown:

  • Image
  • Intro
  • Body

The item title remains visible in Accordion, Tabs and FAQ because it is also the accessible control label.

5. Publish

Choose the normal Joomla module settings such as:

  • Position
  • Status: Published
  • Menu Assignment

Save the module and open the assigned frontend page.

Quick Joomla Articles example

To turn existing Joomla Articles into an accordion:

  1. Set Content Source → Joomla Articles.
  2. In 2. Content, optionally choose Categories and/or Tags.
  3. Set Featured, Language, Ordering and Article Limit.
  4. Choose Accordion in 3. Layout.
  5. Choose the desired content fields in 4. Display.
  6. Publish the module.

If Categories and Tags are both empty, ES Content Display can use all published Articles accessible to the current visitor, subject to the other source settings and Article Limit.
