The module displays no items
Manual Items source
Open 2. Content and confirm that at least one Manual Item has been added and saved.
Joomla Articles source
Check:
- selected Categories;
- selected Tags;
- Tag Matching mode;
- Featured filter;
- Article Language;
- Article Limit;
- Article/Category publication state;
- Joomla Viewing Access Levels.
An empty Categories/Tags selection is valid and means the collection is not restricted by that filter.
An Article exists but does not appear
ES Content Display intentionally respects Joomla access, publication dates, language and category access.
Check whether the current visitor can access both the Article and its Category and whether the content is currently published.
Tabs become Accordion on desktop
The responsive decision is based on the available module width, not only the browser viewport.
A module inside a narrow sidebar can therefore convert to Accordion even on a wide desktop screen.
To prevent this, use:
Responsive → Tabs on Mobile → Keep Tabs
Search cannot find hidden Body text
This is intentional. Directory Search indexes content that is configured to be part of the visible display. If Body/Intro/Metadata is disabled, that hidden content is not used as invisible searchable data.
The item title remains searchable.
A–Z places an item under
ES Content Display uses Joomla text normalization/transliteration for A–Z grouping. Characters that cannot be represented as an A–Z initial are grouped under #.
FAQ structured data is missing an item
For an item to be included in FAQ JSON-LD it needs:
- a real Title;
- visible answer text from Intro and/or Body.
If Intro and Body are disabled or empty, the item is not emitted as a structured-data Question/Answer.
A deep link no longer works
For Manual Items, avoid deleting an item and recreating it merely to reorder it. Use the repeatable-list move controls so the item's persistent internal identity is retained.
If the item was deleted and recreated, it receives a new identity.
Styling conflicts with the template
First try another Style Preset. For custom corrections, add a Custom CSS Class to the module and scope overrides to that class.
Avoid broad global CSS rules that target all button, article, img, or similar elements.
Cached content appears stale
Caching is disabled by default. If Use Global caching was enabled, cached guest output may remain stale until the configured cache lifetime expires after content changes.
Clear the Joomla cache or return the module to No caching while troubleshooting.
Updates are not detected or cannot download
Check the Updates & Download Key guide and refresh Joomla's update cache after correcting the Download Key.
